Question: To Mail or Not To Mail…
The industry was asked…
We always mail original deeds out with title policies, but with digitally signed policies, it seems like a waste of time and postage to mail copies. Are you all mailing out original deeds or do you just send them if the buyer requests? I’m in Florida and there’s really nothing you would need your deed for once it’s recorded in the public records, but I know some people prefer to have originals.
What is your policy on mailing original deeds and title policies? Are originals sent automatically, only upon request, or not at all?
